TAG: Colours of the Rainbow!

The other day I stumbled across the 'Colours of the Rainbow' tag whilst watching one of Miss Glamorazzi or Ingrid's YouTube videos. If you haven't heard about this tag before, basically what you do is find beauty related products (or clothing, etc) that matches the colours in the rainbow. Really, really simple. I thought it would be quite challenging (and interesting) to find 9 different items lying in my room that matched each colour of the rainbow, therefore I had to make a blogpost about it!

Now, let's get cracking! Here are the colours:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Pink, Multicoloured.

RED: Essie's Garnet

Coincidently, I was already wearing a red nail polish shade when finding products for this tag so I thought I might as well use it for my 'red' category. Contrary to the photo Garnet is actually a beautiful deep red that reminds me a lot of red wine! This is fast becoming one of my favourite red polishes.

ORANGE: Real Techniques Buffing Brush and Contour Brush

 photo P5229603_zps5e4a2c2a.jpg
I won't go into too much detail here as every Tom, Dick and Harry has raved about these brushes before - but these truly a few of the best brushes I've tried. I use these brushes about 99% of the time and still cannot believe how amazing my foundation/bb cream looks after using the buffing brush or how flawless my contouring looks when I use the contour brush!

YELLOW: Burt's Bees Richly Replenishing Body Lotion

 photo P5229605_zps7e41737f.jpg
As Winter approaches so does the need to use excessive amounts of body lotions/butters. So far I've been loving the Burt's Bees Richly Replenishing body lotion as it really hydrates my skin without leaving it feeling greasy. I also find that I can skip a few days of using body lotion as it keeps my skin feeling soft and moisturised for longer. It smells quite lovely as well.

GREEN: EOS Honeysuckle and Honeydew Lipbalm

 photo P5229609_zpse468185c.jpg
Not going to lie but I have about 6 different colours of these EOS balms to go through! I'm just about done with my Strawberry Sorbet one so I thought I would crack open a new one! I do quite like these EOS balms - they're moisturising, smell delicious and look super adorable!

BLUE: Sebastian Professional Heat Protecting Spray

 photo P5229611_zpseed4cded.jpg
Over the past couple of weeks I've been testing out a few Sebastian Professional haircare products, one of which has been the heat protectant spray. So far, I've been immensely impressed by the results and can really tell the different to when I do and do not use this product! However, I do find that this spray does make my hair more tangled that usual but it's no biggie.

INDIGO: Glamour Doll Eyes Veteran Pigment

 photo P5229614_zpsd581647b.jpg
Funny story, I actually forgot I had any Glamour Doll Eyes Pigments until today when I was rummaging through my collection looking for indigo coloured products! And now that I've found them I will certainly try to use them more! Just look at the colour of this pigment! Even in the jar it looks stunning. Check out this post for my GDE Pigment review!

PURPLE: Michael Todd Citrus Cream Moisturiser

 photo P5229616_zpsb7b3f207.jpg
My life is now complete after I've tried this moisturiser. I don't think I've ever loved a moisturiser like I love this one. I've been using this tiny travel sized moisturiser for about two weeks now and I'm completely in love. I'm seriously dreading the day when this becoming empty! Everything about this moisturiser is a dream - the smell, texture/consistency, ingredients. It leaves my skin feeling like a baby's bottom all day long!

PINK: Benefit Posie Tint

 photo P5229617_zps5a59f9f3.jpg
With the colder months now among us I've been using more liquid/cream cheek products, one of which has been Benefit's Posie Tint. This nail-polish like cheek and lip stain is perfect for those looking for something long wearing. It will give you the perfect flushed look for your cheeks! However, it does take a couple of applications to achieve that colour as it is a little sheer.

MULTICOLOURED: BH Cosmetics 88 Shimmer Palette

 photo P5229619_zpsc592e2ac.jpg
And of course the last product has to an 88 palette. I feel like I'm cheating in this tag as I already used an eyeshadow (pigment) for one of my other categories but YOLO I'm a rebel (just kidding, but seriously). If you're looking for a palette that will have every single colour you will ever need in your life, look no further than the BH Cosmetics 88 Shimmer Palette. Whether you're on a budget or just starting to experiment with makeup this palette will seriously become your best friend.

That's the end of the tag! I hope to see all you girls doing this tag as well. I'm actually surprised by how fun it was!
