Review + Swatches: MUA Blushes + Bronzers

Time for another MUA review post, this time we're talking about their standard blushers as well as the Mosaic Blusher and Bronzer. I picked up a few of these blushers because I have heard that these babies are amazing quality for the price - £1 for the standard blushers, £2.50 for the Mosaic Blusher/Bronzer. So approx $1.50AUD and $3.75AUD.

Like with most of MUA products, all four blushes have basic black packaging with a clear lid and silver front. Although they do feel very plastic they are quite sturdy and no hassles to travel with - especially the Mosaic blushers. I have bought other make-up products that are also inexpensive but the packaging was absolute rubbish - I'm so glad MUA's packaging is actually durable.

Mosaic Bronzer in Natural Glow

Both the mosaic bronzer and blusher are beautifully formed and encompass different shades to form the perfect bronzed/flushed look to the cheeks. The Mosaic Bronzer obviously has various of bronze shades that vary from deep bronze to a natural peach to a sandy beige highlight. I found the bronzer to be extremely soft and finely milled, making it easy to blend when applying it to the cheeks. When mixing all the shades together, the end product is a warm matte bronze shade that would suit tanned/olived skin tones. It can definitely be used for fairer skin, but used with a lighter hand. Because it's a lovely rosy golden matte shade, it looks gorgeous as a contour shade but also able to warm up your skin tone.

Mosaic Blusher in English Rose

For the English Rose blusher it contains 5 different tones from dusty pink, peach and lilac colours to give an even light pink finish. Although the palette is amazing to look at, the colour is not very pigmented and is slightly chalky. I wouldn't recommend it for a blush but maybe a highlighter. It gives the cheeks a lovely glowing finish which definitely looks great for a highlight. Because it is a little chalky, I find that you need to tap off an excess that may be on your brush and then apply to the face. Other than the lack of pigmentation, it does turn out the be a lovely light pink shade and you can't complain seeing as it was dirt cheap.

Shade 2

Next are with the MUA blushers - there are 6 shades available, ranging from pink to coral to plums and natural nudes. Shade 2 is a subtle dusky pink shade. When applied and blended it gives a lovely natural flush of colour to the cheeks nothing too harsh or overwhelming. I feel as though this would be slightly more on the cool toned side, but this can definitely be worn on warmer tones. There are also slight shimmers in this blush that gives your skin a lovely radiant glow. This is definitely a gorgeous shade.

Shade 4

As for shade 4, it is a delightful warm pinky/peachy shade with subtle shimmers. It's extremely soft, easy to blend and feels light/smooth on the cheeks. This blush definitely gives the cheeks a lovely flush of colour and is suited for all skin types. Both Shade 2 & 4 have amazing pigmentation and highly recommended!

(L-R) Mosaic Bronzer, Mosaic Blusher, Shade 2, Shade 4

I absolutely love the regular MUA blushers and I definitely think you should give them a try if you haven't already. They're easy on the wallet and have great pigmentation/formula.

Have you tried any of these blushes?

    1. It's a shame it's not as pigmented as the other blushers, but It works quite well as a highlighter though! :)
