Review + Swatches: MUA Eyeshadow Palettes - Undressed, Heaven & Earth and more!

Eyeshadow palettes galore! As you are aware, about two weeks ago I received a very large parcel from MUA comprising of all the goodies in which I had purchased. There's nothing better than opening the door to the postman who's carrying your long awaited parcel! Today I will be doing a quick review on the 6 MUA eyeshadow palettes I received and also showing you a few swatches of what the gorgeous eyeshadows look like!

First up is the Pretty Pastels palette. I was excited to try this palette, as I don't have that many pastel shades in my eyeshadow collection. I tend to opt more of neutrals or the occasional bright eyeshadows, so I was quite interested to grab a few softer coloured shades. Another reason why I picked up this palette is because pastel shades are currently in season at the moment and what better way to add a pop of colour to an outfit than with eyeshadow!

Onto the actual eyeshadows in this palette, I was quite impressed with the pigmentation of all the shades. I thought they would be slightly more chalky and little-to-none colour pay-off compared to other eyeshadows I have tried, only because I have had bad experiences with eyeshadows that are light. But fortunately, they apply beautifully and the pigmentation is exceptional. Pretty Pastels palette is definitely a winner in my books

Next is the Glamour Days eyeshadow palette. As you can tell from the name of this palette, it contains 12 gorgeous eyeshadows that can be worn easily during the day time. There is a lovely mix of neutral and soft bright shades - definitely an amazing palette for when you're travelling.

I absolutely love the two shimmery neutral shades in this palette (second row, 3 & 5) the formulation of both of them remind me a lot of the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadows. I found that the shades in this palette were a little more creamy and soft than a few of the other palettes - the only downside to this I find is that the first eyeshadow in this palette did lean more towards the chalky side and needed a little more product for the colour to pop. But other than that, another lovely palette.

Onto the infamous Undressed palette that contains 12 easy-to-wear neutral shades. This palette has been compared to the Naked 2 palette countless times and I can definitely see why. There are a lot of similar shades and the creamy-ness of the two palettes are also comparable.

First off, the pigmentation of the shimmer shades are brilliant, I absolutely love them, however the mate shades in this palette are not as impressive, they are still easy to blend. All of the shadows are very soft, but the shimmers especially do tend to fall a little during application but it's nothing you can't avoid by applying them carefully. These shadows aren't as long wearing as their expensive counterparts (NAKED2 palette), but with a good primer they will certainly last you all day without creasing.

Now the palette that linked to the original Naked palette is the Heave & Earth palette. You can never have too many neutral eyeshadow palettes I think, haha. Because all the shades in this palette are so complementary with one another, I find that there are a million different ways to use this palette to create wearable daytime look to sultry nighttime looks.

I find that all the eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, even the paler shades. I also find the staying power to be great when used with a primer but obviously on their own, they aren't as long wearing. The only downside to this palette, is that it doesn't contain any matte shades, they're all very shimmery. Because all the shades are shimmery, I find them to be velvet soft and extremely creamy. Definitely a great palette for individuals that want to experience with neutral shades!

Onto the Poptastic Palette, as you can tell from the photo, this palette contains 12 bright, fun shades that add a pop of colour to any look! This palette is definitely suited for those who are daring enough to wear bright eyeshadows on any occasion! I find that this palette leans towards cooler toned skin types as half of shades in the palette are blue/green.

I was quite impressed with the pigmentation of this palette, as most of the shades are shimmery, the colour pay off is much better. The only problem I have with this palette, is a few of the eyeshadows are a little difficult to blend out and there is a little fall out when applying to the lid. As much as this palette looks gorgeous, I think this is my least favourite palette out of the 6 I purchased. The colour range is limited and the difficulty to blend out the eyeshadows is a tad tedious.

And lastly, the Glamour Nights palette. This palette contains a mixture of matte and shimmer/frosty shades. The shades are definitely more suited for night time wear, as the shades are more deep and glittery. Definitely great for creating different smokey eye looks for evening events.

The Matte shades in this palette are unfortunately very disappointing (Shade 1 & 5 - white & grey). The   colour pay-off is almost non-existent and were extremely chalky. The shimmers however were exceptional - very creamy and pigmented. The green shade in this palette is to die for, it is such an amazing colour! However, I definitely have mixed feelings about this palette because the mattes were very disappointing.

So overall, I think the MUA eyeshadows are amazing. There are a few little disappointments with them, but hey for £4 you simply cannot complain. In all honesty, these eyeshadows are almost as good or better than a few of the higher end eyeshadows I've tested! They are definitely worth giving a try! If you're interested in picking up a few palettes for yourself, head over to the MUA website! I'm also giving a few of these palettes away for my blog giveaway, so don't forget to enter!

Have an amazing day! xo
